The Hotel is 130 years old according to the hostess and very large, nice inside. Real wood furnishings and expansive oldstyle staircase. Overall the architecture is very classy and old-world. However, the antiquity could not overcome the very bad flaws.
The MOST hard, uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on (and I am in the army), a toilet that would not stop running all night, poor quality restaurant (looked liked canned/frozen food), not stocked sufficiently with toiletries or towels.

I can say that although the hotel was in the middle of repair there was no noise. The staff , especially the receptionists & houskeeping were very nice, smiling and helpful attending to our needs. They gave us 4 rooms to choose from on the renovated side with a view to the park and garden..,adding a small fridge to our request. The rooms were newly decorated and the matrasses were of top quality. We enjoyed our stay - 3 days 2 nights-and we were allowed to keep our room longer as needed before returning to Bucharest by train.

Review for Hotel Caraiman in Sinaia
I had a fantastic two-night stay at Hotel Caraiman! the location is unbeatable—it's right in the heart of the town, making it super convenient for exploring. Plus, it's next to a local supermarket, perfect for grabbing a quick snack like yogurt and bananas. the nearby city park is lovely, and it's just a short distance to the main avenues of the resort as well as the Peles area. I couldn't have asked for a better spot to enjoy my visit!

We loved the location - close to train station, town and sights.
The hot water took forever to come through. The bed was very uncomfortable.

I like the staff, which were very friendly and nice. The food and prices were excellent and the location was very good to walk on foot to where I wanted to go. I like the old natalgist look of the hotel and design and it supplied everything I was looking for in my stay with the price.
I booked an extra stay and on-line it showed that there were available nights but I was later informed that this was not the case. If I wasnt informed ahead of time to chagne my booking to another hotel, this could have caused me many problems. Also I wasnt informed until my arrival of construction and should have been told about this before incase I wanted to change my booking to anotehr hotel with more peace and quiet. Also after I checked out, I became aware of a friend of mine comign to the hotel looking for me. Regardless of WHO was looking for me, my personal information such as if I even stayed there, the time I stayed there and ANYTHING about ME SHOULD NOT have been told to this person or anyone. Because of this last complaint, I will rethink if I will ever stay at this hotel again nor will I recommend it to anyone I know. My privacy should not have been discussed with anyone and this is what I admire the most in my stays. Maybe in the future you can learn by this to insure more bookigns. Personal information, regardless of who is asking, should not be given out!!!!!! I will nto recommend this hitel because of this!
